1. Who we are
Planet Zoodex (planetzoodex.com) is a fan-made community registry for Planet Zoo 2. It is operated by Anja Mogensen, based in Denmark. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Frontier Developments.

2. What data we collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Username — your public display name on the site
- Email address — used for account verification, login, and password resets
- Franchise name — your in-game franchise name (optional)
- Password — stored as a secure one-way hash; we never store your plain password
- IP address — recorded at registration to help prevent abuse
When you use the site, we may additionally store:
- Animals, colors, and other content you choose to submit
- Images you upload
- Messages you send through the platform
3. Why we collect it
We collect your data to provide the service — specifically to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Allow you to log in and use member features
- Send transactional emails (verification, password reset)
- Protect the platform from spam and abuse
The legal basis under GDPR is contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)) — we need this data to provide the service you signed up for — and legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) for security purposes.
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not use analytics tools.
4. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and is deleted when you log out or when your session expires. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies.
5. Where your data is stored
This site is hosted on servers operated by ALL-INKL.COM in Germany. Germany is an EU member state, so your data remains within the European Economic Area and is protected under GDPR.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Unverified accounts (where the email link is never clicked) are automatically deleted after 24 hours. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your account and data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest

If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish data protection authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.dk).
8. Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
